When my daughter became engaged, I learned quickly that wedding planning in 2006 was going to be amazingly different than wedding planning in 1974. For starters, I was engaged at the age of 19, was married in my home town and my mother, God bless her, did the lion’s share of the planning.

When Kate became engaged, she lived a plane ride away in Chicago, had attended many weddings, and wanted to be married on the New England coastline.
Weddings have become events, and successful events require planning and communication.
